Carbon Management Plans
Having developed the new carbon baseline tool for the SME sector in Scotland, Synergie Environ has been successful in winning the contract to lead one of the first groups of SMEs in the country through the Carbon Management Planning, delivering support to the cohort which has been recruited in the Highlands & Islands.
Carbon Management Plans have been used by the public sector for a number of years as a means of establishing a baseline of carbon emissions for an organisation and then putting in place projects which will introduce targeted reductions in carbon emissions and therefore present often significant cost savings opportunities to the organisation.
The Carbon Trust has taken the step to run a pilot project of two cohorts of companies in Scotland this year to pioneer the use of the process to bring similar significant benefits to the SME sector.
